My work as a counsellor is shaped by my family’s immigrant and refugee experience, as well as my own lived experience with mental health challenges and disability. I understand what it means to navigate systems, carry grief, survive trauma, and move through complicated relationships while still trying to build something steady and meaningful.
Before entering the counselling field, I worked as a paramedic. That experience continues to inform my practice, particularly in my ability to remain grounded in high-stress situations and to work effectively with first responders and those impacted by critical incidents.
I work especially well with youth and young adults and have extensive experience supporting children and families through grief, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is reflective and insight-oriented, while also being practical and direct. I value honesty, cultural humility, and creating a space that feels steady and real — where growth is possible, even when things feel heavy.
